Updated January 21, 2008 - Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino completed a $20 million renovation. The new design brings a blend of casual Caribbean elegance and contemporary chic to nearly every corner of the premier resort, from the lobby and dining areas to all 360 guestrooms. Sleek stone and modern lines meet colorful Caribbean accents. Together with the resort's recently launched "Bo Tambe Por" outreach program for local youth, the comprehensive makeover demonstrates the resort's commitment to Aruba and the community. Hyatt Regency Aruba's open-air lobby now features chandeliers to complement the traditional beamed ceiling and an opulent front desk of marble, glass and Maya Romanoff "mother-of-pearl."
The rooms, including 24 suites, have gained new interiors, fully-renovated bathrooms and Hyatt's signature Grand Bed. The property's four specialty suites will feature Italian furnishings and designer accoutrements, including Philippe Starck bathroom elements, to create opulent settings both fashionable and relaxed. The Palms Restaurant and Bar's new Latin Bistro includes an exhibition kitchen where guests can witness food preparation. The Ultimate Experience Package includes a limo transfer to and from the pier and a five-course Champagne dinner for two aboard a luxury catamaran, and is priced from $1,600 per couple.
