LUXURY BEACH RESORT • 6 LUXURY VILLAS
The Palms Zanzibar is a restorative retreat that brings peace of mind and body, a quiet at the very center of the soul. The daily cycle of the tide, the gentle breeze of the trade winds, and the soothing rustle of the coconut palms bring a soothing metronomic rhythm to the day and enhances one's appreciation for these natural surroundings.
White sandy beaches stretch in both directions as far as the eye can see, and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean provide an aquatic playground of tranquil sea and acres of stunning coral, ideally observed with snorkeling equipment available gratis courtesy of the resort's marine activities center.
The breeze off of the incoming tide cools the senses and flows playfully through the linen curtains shading each of the 6 secluded villas on the property. Each air-conditioned villa comes complete with one full en suite bathroom, master bedroom, dressing room and living room, and is draped with creamy linen curtains and similarly colored bed dressings. These fabrics compliment the hue of the locally crafted four-poster bed, side tables, and polished wooden floor. A similar grain is also used on the furnished terrace, which consists of a cushioned lounger, personal Jacuzzi, and silk-draped four-poster bed with its own ocean view. It is an ideal sanctuary for a late afternoon reclusion with a good book and a cold sundowner.
Secluded among the coconut palms and exotic gardens skirting the beach are six private, spacious thatched roof “bandas.” Each private banda is walled on three sides with cotton windbreakers and bedded with full-length cushions. Here one can lounge comfortably with room to spare for the litter of magazines, books, clothes and other disposable paraphernalia of the oft traveled. Your own banda is just a few steps from your villa, and close enough to the turquoise waters of the world’s third largest ocean to feel the light spray from the crashing waves at high tide.
Against this backdrop of sumptuous natural beauty, the locally recruited staff displays a knack for respecting the privacy of your holiday experience whilst making sure your every need is catered to. No matter if this comes in the form of a personally tailored menu (the chefs are extremely flexible) or an unasked for (but oh so welcome) sundowner cocktail to toast the descending of the day’s sun, both management and resort staff are careful to ensure that every attention to detail is taken to make your stay at The Palms a unique, personal, and memorable experience.
