In addition to receiving the Certificate of Excellence, and in recognition of the fact that it has been awarded it for five consecutive years, Sanctuary Olonana in Kenya has also been given the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame award.

The Lodges and Camps which have been awarded the prestigious certificate are:

Sanctuary Chief's Camp, Botswana (pictured) – located on Chief's Island, in the exclusive Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta, this lodge features 12 luxurious guest pavilions all of which have private decks.

Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero, Botswana – this luxurious lodge, with 15 thatched cottages, is located on the edge of Chobe National Park, home to the largest remaining population of elephants in the world. The lodge features a full-service tree-house spa.

Sanctuary Olonana, Kenya- this award-winning tented camp is in a private concession bordering the Masai Mara, overlooking the Mara River. There are fourteen spacious canvas tents, a pool and mini spa.

Sanctuary Kusini, Tanzania– in the southern part of the Serengeti, this luxury camp is ideally placed to witness the migration. The 12 double luxury tents are set around a kopje which offers the chance for cosmic safaris at night.

Sanctuary Swala, Tanzania- this magical camp is in a remote setting, with 12 luxurious tents, an infinity pool with incredible views and a waterhole regularly visited by a whole host of wildlife. It has high concentrations of game, particularly elephant.

Sanctuary Saadani Safari Lodge- set inside the Saadani National Park in a magnificent coastal setting overlooking the Indian Ocean, this lodge is unique in being able to offer a traditional bush safari in a remote beach location.

Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Uganda – deep inside Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which is a World Heritage Site is one of the most remote and atmospheric camps in Africa. This is the ideal base for mountain gorillas that live in Bwindi. It is the only luxury camp within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and offers 8 stylish and spacious tents.

Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma, Zambia – this luxurious lodge is made up of 12 Sussi tree houses connected by wooden walkways and set in giant ebony trees overlooking a bend of the Zambezi River, just a short distance from Victoria Falls. It is the only lodge in the area able to offer guided walking safaris.

Sanctuary Chichele Presidential Lodge, Zambia -this lodge maintains a colonial feel and each of its ten suites comes complete with a four–poster bed and private veranda. The game viewing in the park is considered to be some of the best in Africa.

Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp, Zambia- a stylish camp perched on an escarpment in a remote part of the South Luangwa. With just seven luxury tents, it has been designed to leave no trace on the environment and offers an authentic safari experience.
