3 Travel Legends Celebrate 125 Years of Agatha Christie
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express links the acclaimed cities of Venice and Istanbul and its legendary journeys inspired the creations of the infamous characters of Christie's famous novel including Hercule Poirot. In 1934, Christie penned Murder on the Orient-Express at Pera Palace Hotel inspired by her experience on the train.

In order to mark the occasion, the three head chefs David Bisetto, Arif Kemal Dogan and Christian Bodiguel, have developed a menu inspired by their nation's cuisine and will be a hosting a celebratory gastronomic gala feast at Belmond Hotel Cipriani's swimming pool, overlooking the Venice lagoon. Guests are invited to step back into the 1930s, with vintage inspired decorations, champagne cocktails and entertainment evoking the golden age of travel.

The celebratory gala event on July 1, 2015 starts at 7:30 p.m. at Belmond Hotel Cipriani. Prices for the dinner are $145 USD (130 Euros) per person and include food, beverages and entertainment.
