A warm welcome awaits, as guests retreat from the cold outside into the lobby where a life size Gingerbread House and open log fires bring aromas of Christmas. There will be an array of festive activities for both adults and children alike during the holidays, as preparations are made to enchant and entertain guests. The hotel is offering many new activities this year for the younger members of the family including, treasure hunts, cookie decorating classes and movies & popcorn in the dedicated children's cinema. Whilst children are occupied, adults can take a stroll in Powerscourt House and Gardens, attend Leopardstown Races or relax in ESPA at Powerscourt.

Guests can also help children of the Jack & Jill Foundation when they buy a gift from the Giving Tree which is located in the lobby of the hotel. Visitors to the hotel will have the opportunity to buy a gift from the tree for a child, who The Jack & Jill Foundation have taken under their wing, making this Christmas a more memorable one for the families that depend on the charity for support. All donations and gifts are given directly to the charity. This is the fourth year the hotel has hosted a Giving Tree and each year it is a great success.

The Ritz-Carlton, Powerscourt offers the ideal Christmas retreat to enjoy the holidays. The Festive Holiday package consists of a two night stay and is valid from December 24th until 26th, 2012 and costs from €425 per night, per couple sharing. This package includes two nights accommodation in a Deluxe room, daily breakfast buffet for two in the restaurant with festive treats on arrival, including mince pies and mulled wine. It also includes a delicious 3 course plated set dinner menu on Christmas Eve for two in Gordon Ramsay at Powerscourt and a Grand Buffet lunch on Christmas Day.
