Abercrombie & Kent Villas Launches New Destination: Sardinia
Abercrombie & Kent Villas announced the addition of 9 new villas in Sardinia to its' existing Italian portfolio of villas in Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Umbria and city apartments in Florence. Situated between the Tyrrhenian and Sardinian Seas, Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean and with its crystal clear waters and rugged, mountainous coastline, is breathtakingly beautiful.

Many of the handpicked A&K Villas are just steps away from beautiful stretches of unspoilt beaches and turquoise waters, the perfect combination for any summer holiday. Yet there is so much more to discover in Sardinia: Roman remains, traces of prehistoric settlements, ancient quarries and unique archaeological remains called “nuraghi”, which have recently been declared a UNESCO heritage site.

An archipelago of seven islands, La Maddalena Group, lies just off the Esmeralda coastline, which are characterised by their jagged coasts, unspoilt beauty and abundance of wildlife. Being a marine reserve the waters teem with colourful fish, turtles and dolphins with some world class diving and snorkelling. There are also some interesting and rather spectacular ship wrecks to explore along the way. And for a bit of history, learn about Giuseppe Garibaldi and visit where he lived and is buried…

For the sport aficionados, there is the opportunity to ride horses across mountainous countryside, swing a golf club and enjoy some of the best windsurfing in Europe, while the wildlife enthusiasts can marvel at the hundreds of wild flamingos gathering on marshes. And for glitz head to super glamorous yacht marinas to splash out on some designer shops and rub shoulders with celebrities…

Abercrombie & Kent Villas' in Sardinia range from the simple but charming little boltholes to the more luxurious villa with rolling gardens down to your private beach. All come with the option of a chef who will cook up Sardinian feasts using fish caught that day and delicious local produce.
