The charming accommodations on the second floor of this self-catering Coach House include private lake view deck with gas grill, two bedrooms, one bath and an open kitchen/dining/living area with cozy wood stove. The master bedroom features an Adirondack-style custom-made king bed once owned by William Avery Rockefeller whose legendary Point Resort is nearby. There is also a twin-bedded guestroom for the kids. Both bedrooms as well as the living room have cable TV.

The main attraction of this vacation rental is its extraordinarily pristine and idyllic location. The stunning property has been featured in an MTV music video that's been viewed millions of times! The lake is so sparkling clean that you can drink from it and the night sky will dazzle you with millions of stars. You will rave about this place to all your friends and no question, you'll want to return.

Outdoor amenities include sandy swimming beach, lakeside fire pit with chairs (firewood is provided), picnic table, kayak, canoe and row boat. The rental also includes a covered slip if you'd like to bring your own boat. While you're at it -- bring your hiking shoes, mountain bikes and fishing gear. You can also bring ATVs.

Nearby Lake Placid, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, boasts a large array of shops, restaurants and entertainment along Main Street. Montreal is just two hours away -- close enough for a day trip!

The Coach House rents for $1,500 per week, Saturday to Saturday, for up to 4 guests (less than the cost of one night at The Point Resort). Pets considered. Appliances include a washer and dryer, stove, oven, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, DVD player, WI-FI, enhanced Verizon Cell Service and more.
