Adler Thermae Launches New Spa Treatments for Couples
Given that wellness has become such a strong theme for holidays, it's no surprise that the trend has infiltrated the romance market. In fact, many 21st century couples are more active and health-conscious during their honeymoon than they are at home. Not only do they want a nice spa treatment when they holiday, they also want to be active – enjoying walking, mountain biking, gym classes – and practice yoga or meditation for mental wellbeing as well. Adler Thermae, which offers it all, is therefore a great destination for short romantic breaks or honeymoons (or should we say actimoons?).

The Adler Luxury Aetos Ritual is a particularly dreamy experience – and it's exclusive to Adler Thermae, making use of products that are produced by a wine-making sister company (also based in Tuscany) and the naturally thermal waters of the resort. A purifying peel precedes a relaxing massage using grape-seed oil, before a regenerating bath in a combination of Aetos wine and thermal waters. A glass of sparkling Aetos Rosé and a taste of Pecorino cheese, matured in Aetos, complete the treatment, which takes a total of 100 minutes and costs Euros 167 per person.

In response to guests' desire to sample the exotic (without having to make the long-haul journey and endure the jetlag), Adler Thermae has also introduced two Oriental treatments.

The Thai Sensation facial (costing Euros 127 per person) will put a glow on the faces of every couple. Warm herbal pads are used to massage in perilla oil and scented essences of ylang ylang, curcuma and kaffir lime that have the effect of a youth elixir, while the lovers enjoy a super relaxing and romantic treatment. The Aromatic Savonage is a purifying anti-aging ritual that uses soft natural soap and precious aromatic oils to cleanse and regenerate the skin; it costs Euros 97 per person. A savonage incorporating black sesame, lemongrass and Thai noni soap is followed by a gently pampering full-body massage using warm coconut oil and essences of lavender, ylang ylang and curcuma for an out of this world experience.

Additionally, the hotel has a wide range of treatments for two, including a Rasul Bath, a private Salt Grotto experience and a Water Zen experience incorporating Shiatsu in the hotel's thermal waters, as well as an extensive menu of individual experiences for both men and women. The hotel's healing thermal pools, fed directly from the historic baths of Bagno Vignoni, and the extensive sauna, steam and relaxation areas, only serve to heighten levels of relaxation.

For the active, there is a busy schedule of daily classes in the gym, from yoga and Pilates to fat burning and TTX sessions, as well as five guided hikes per week and four guided cycle rides per week that allow guests to explore this beautiful part of the country while exercising. There is also the option to guide yourself any day of the week, making use of the hotel's own mountain bikes (offered on a complimentary basis).

In summary, Adler Therme offers a host of unique experiences that will only serve to strengthen a couple's relationship and leave them with a lifetime of happy, romantic memories.
