Aquazzura to Open Flagship Store in Palazzo Corsini in Florence, Italy
Both, the store and new headquarters will be located in the left wing of the iconic Palazzo Corsini in Florence, the city where the brand's shoes are designed and produced. The store will be the only place in the world to carry the complete Aquazzura collection. It will also offer exclusive styles, the bridal collection, and made-to-order services, giving customers a truly unique Aquazzura shopping experience.

Palazzo Corsini, which was built in the 15th century, and purchased in 1649 by Maria Macchiavelli from Ferdinando II de' Medici, is located in the heart of the city, close to the Ponte Vecchio. The store, which features the original Medici foundations, will open following the restoration of the palazzo's 17th century frescoes.

Designed by renowned interior designers Claudia and Catarina Soares Pereira, to create harmony between the beauty of the original structure mixed with contemporary design, complimenting as well as contrasting the 17th century frescoes ceilings and the original hand-painted doors of the Palazzo.

The store will feature a graphic and surreal entrance of black and white marble stripes, French grey and gold boiseries, opulent Belgian marble as well as Murano chandeliers. Exquisitely designed furniture with a touch of vibrant colors along with other refined elements, such as graphic hand-woven carpets and metallic display cases, will integrate seamlessly into the historical structure of the Palazzo.

The new headquarters and design studio were inspired by the vibrant colors of the Pompeii frescoes on the original ceiling of the space, utilizing strong colors throughout the design to echo the hues of the original artwork.

“I am delighted to open our first store in Florence where our story began only three years ago. Aquazzura is a truly international company but we remain strongly devoted to our Florentine soul. It is a huge privilege to be able to open our flagship store and new headquarters at Palazzo Corsini, a rare historic landmark and prestigious examples of Baroque architecture from the Florentine Renaissance,” Edgardo Osorio, President and Creative Director.
