Art Exhibits at Eden Rock - St Barths and Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc
Oetker Collection is debuting art exhibits at Eden Rock – St Barths and Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, showcasing Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso, respectively.

Eden Rock - St Barths is showcasing the work of World Renowned Artist, Salvador Dalí, through April 30 in the Eden Rock Gallery.

Located onsite at Eden Rock – St Barths, The Eden Rock Gallery is consistently showcasing prestigious artists in the global art world. Past collaborations have included the Gagosian Gallery, Galerie Perrotin and Art Saint Barth.

Salvador Dalí was a multi-faceted artist and is widely recognized as sculptor, writer, illustrator, filmmaker, jewelry designer and more. Over the past twenty five years, the collection of sculptures have toured more than eighty prestigious museums and locations and been seen by more than ten million people. This collection brings to light a previously unknown aspect of Dalí’s work, allowing sculpture to take on a more important role.

The collection of bronze sculptures on display at Eden Rock Gallery is a major aspect of Dalí’s lifework. The passion to express himself sculpturally lasted his entire life, dating from 1934 until 1987. Dalí was fascinated by this form of transformation and created original maquettes and designs that he sculpted into surreal objects. In this way, Dalí’s creative genius manifests into three-dimensionality, bringing to life sculptures that are amongst the most famous and beloved of Dalí’s artistic work.

Certain items and events from Dalí’s childhood appear recurrently in his work as icons and are rich in emotional meaning. These items embody Dalí’s strongest beliefs; his obsession with time, as depicted in the painting The Persistence of Memory, and the sculptures Profile of Time and Nobility of Time; his fascination with beauty and the female form, as seen in the sculpture Space Venus and The Woman Aflame; and the crutch, symbolizing support and stability, as featured in Alice in Wonderland and Snail and the Angel.
