Baur au Lac Celebrates 100th Anniversary of Dadaism with Exclusive New Package
The package coincides with special events and museum exhibitions taking place around Zürich to mark the centennial, including an exhibition entitled Dada Afrika: Dialogue with the Other at the Museum Rietberg, emphasizing the Dada artists' interest in the spontaneous expression in non-European art and culture.

The Dada package at Baur au Lac includes:

• Two nights' accommodations for two at Baur au Lac
• Entrance for two to the Dada Afrika exhibit at the Museum Rietberg
• Entrance for two to the Café Voltaire, a coffee house and art space
• Limousine transfers for two to both exhibits
• A copy of the coffee table book by Martin Mittelmeier, DADA: Eine Jahrhundertgeschichte [A Century of History]
• Daily buffet breakfast for two
• Free minibar, mineral water and WiFi

On February 5, 1916, the Dada movement began as World War I was waged across Europe, and politically neutral Switzerland, a "birdcage surrounded by roaring lions," became a haven for artists, intellectuals, pacifists and exiles. Dada recognized performance art as a form of visual art and celebrated everyday objects - a redefinition of art that paved the way for surrealism, pop art, Beat poetry, punk music and contemporary art.

The two-night Dada package at Baur au Lac will be available weekends (Friday to Monday) through July 17, 2016, and is priced from $2,025, based on double occupancy and inclusive of all VAT and service charges.
