Britain's Jockey Club Offers a Rare Behind-the-Scenes Experience
For centuries, the historic Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket has been a meeting place for some of the country's most powerful people, including Royalty and Prime Ministers, and now it's the public's turn. Nestled in the Suffolk countryside and just an hour from London, this jewel of British horseracing has much to offer this summer.

For the first time in its 260-year history, The Jockey Club is inviting the British public to stay in the historic Rooms as part of a set of exclusive mid-week and weekend breaks during August, which will give visitors unique access to the birthplace of thoroughbred horseracing.

The high-end breaks will include a private tour of the Rooms and its priceless equine art collection; a visit to The National Stud, which Her Majesty The Queen opened in 1967 and is now run by The Jockey Club, a guided tour of the National Horseracing Museum and a personal trip around a local stable to witness the training of a champion racehorse firsthand. There is also the opportunity to visit the miles of training gallops, to watch some of the world's finest and most valuable thoroughbreds being put through their paces against the beautiful pastoral landscape.

Visitors will be wined and dined during their break, with a Champagne reception and formal dinner in the Members' Dining Room, served by the critically acclaimed catering team at the Jockey Club Rooms. To ensure guests enjoy the ultimate horseracing experience, the weekend also includes an afternoon's racing at Newmarket's July Course, giving guests the opportunity to see world famous horses and jockeys in action!
