Canada's Rocky Mountaineer Launches New Route into the U.S.
The inaugural departure on August 21, 2013 marks the company's fifth rail route and the first time the internationally acclaimed rail service will depart from, and arrive into the United States.

“We are excited to introduce a new rail route that will seamlessly connect two amazing countries through breathtaking landscapes rich in history and natural beauty,” said Hubert Wat, Vice President, Global Marketing of Rocky Mountaineer. “Our newest route for 2013, Coastal Passage promises to be a journey that our guests will never forget.”

Guests onboard the Coastal Passage route, traverse the coastal shorelines of the Pacific Northwest and the mountains of the Canadian Rockies from the comfort of Rocky Mountaineer's deluxe GoldLeaf Service. Onboard, travelers enjoy luxurious surroundings in a bi-level custom-designed dome coach with panoramic views, gourmet cuisine in a private dining room along with personalized service by Rocky Mountaineer Hosts. The new route also creates more ease and accessibility for travelers interested in coupling a Rocky Mountaineer train trip with an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle.

Coastal Passage launches with four departures in 2013, August 21, 22 (westbound beginning in the Canadian Rockies), 24 and 25 (eastbound from Seattle). Offered packages allow for stays in Seattle, Vancouver and Kamloops, as well as the resort towns of Lake Louise, Banff or Jasper, Alberta. There are 24 Coastal Passage departures scheduled for Rocky Mountaineer's 2014 season with both GoldLeaf and SilverLeaf Services offered onboard.
