Cap Juluca to Host Master Sand Sculptor in Anguilla
Over a three-day period Long, a well-known master of the art of sand-sculpting, will build an original showpiece on the beach, and then he'll teach guests some of the tricks of the sandcastle-building trade before they compete in a Cap Juluca Sandcastle Competition.

Building Starts with a Meet and Greet Reception
Sandman Matt begins shaping a sand pile on the dazzling white sand of Maundays Beach along the blue, blue, blue Caribbean coastline. There will be a Cap Juluca welcome reception at 6 p.m. for guests staying at the resort to meet the master sand sculptor.

The Unveiling of the Masterpiece
Long will unveil his completed Cap Juluca sandcastle masterpiece near the resort's Main House by 5 p.m.

Saturday, March 26

Sandcastle-Building Clinic at 10:30 a.m. near Cap Juluca's Blue restaurant

Long will conduct a two-hour sandcastle-building clinic where guests will learn the rudiments of sand sculpting, including the process that is crucial to success, what tools are best for sculpting, how to approach a sculpture idea and what it takes to create a fun and attention-grabbing sculpture.

Sandcastle Contest from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Guests are challenged to put their artistic talents and sand-sculpting skills to the test during a competition while visiting expert Sandman Matt will be on the beach to help contestants with their sandcastles. Judges, including Long, will determine the Cap Juluca Sandcastle Competition winners. Prizes to be awarded.
