Cape Town's Table Bay Hotel Introduces Winter Wine Series

Cape Town's Table Bay Hotel Introduces Winter Wine Series
The wine series begins, appropriately enough, with “The Beginning”, affording guests the opportunity to taste wines from some of the oldest estates in the Cape including Constantia, Vergenoegd, and Franschhoek, which has vigneron traditions dating back to the 16th century. The Table Bay Hotel then leaps into “The Future”, a month-long affair with wines from South Africa's most contemporary and modern estates. Last but not least, the much-anticipated “Golfers Grand Slam” will close out the wine series with creations from South Africa's leading golfers such as Ernie Els, David Frost and Gary Player.

In addition to this special winter wine series, The Table Bay Hotel is also bringing back their acclaimed Chocolate High Tea, a heavenly marriage between a traditional afternoon tea with a lavish selection of chocolate desserts, cakes, and pastries. The Table Bay Hotel's Chocolate High Tea has been featured in Sutro Media's iPad/iPhone application titled “The Chocoholic Traveler,” edited by Kay Harwell Fernandez. The Chocoholic Traveler focuses on worldwide chocolate attractions and is available on iTunes.

"The Beginning", "The Future" and "Golfers Grand Slam" wine events will be hosted in the Atlantic Grill restaurant offering splendid views of Table Mountain and the beautiful Cape Town harbor. Chocolate High Tea is served in the newly refurbished Lobby Lounge between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and costs R160 (approximately USD 24) per person. The Table Bay Hotel is a Sun International property, located on Cape Town's Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. With 329 luxurious rooms, the hotel embodies all the tradition, grace and elegance befitting a five-star property while still maintaining its own unique nautical character.
