Capri's Villa Le Scale Celebrates 10th Anniversary in 2013
With just seven rooms and suites, Villa Le Scale offers guests an array of services -- and for this anniversary season the big news is the launching of the Ristorante Decimo (“10th” in Italian), set on a high terrace within a 20-acre garden set off with 190-degree views of the storied Bay of Naples.

The Villa's new chef-de-cuisine will introduce authentic Southern Italian cuisine, including ravioli Caprese with ricotta and grated Parmigiana cheeses, served with sauce featuring ripe plum tomatoes crushed by hand. Meals are augmented by a wine list that embraces many major international labels but also showcases local boutique vineyards. The dining room is reserved exclusively for Villa guests and is surrounded by 20 acres of trees and blossom reserved for just 14 diners.

Rates range from 275 euros ($359) in low season to 650 euros ($848) in high season, and include a la carte breakfast and taxes for individual bookings. Attractive rates for exclusive rentals are on request. The season runs from April 30 through Sept. 30. All the rooms come with air conditioning, personal safes, minibus, plasma-screen television sets, surround-sound and high-speed wireless access. Most of them have expansive views of the Bay of Naples and they all look out on or open on to very private gardens almost three times the size of the villa itself.
