Car Rallies and Tours in the Heart of the Swiss Alps

British Classic Car Meeting and the Supercar Club are among the rallies and car clubs heading up to the high Alpine valley again this summer. The network of roads leading into the Engadin Valley runs via the Fluela Pass from the north, and the idyllic Albula Pass or the Julier Pass from the west. The imposing Bernina Pass enters the valley from the east, while the road snakes its way over the Maloja Pass from Italy in the south.

The 18th British Classic Car meeting takes place in St. Moritz from July 8 - 10, 2011. Serving as a Mecca for posh classic cars and automotive enthusiasts, this year's event promises a new record attendance. At the beloved Concours d'Elégance on Sunday, July10, the cars are polished and lined up in rows, wooing onlookers on Via Serlas directly in front of Badrutt's Palace Hotel. The expert jury conducts a beauty contest to present the finest car with its prize in the afternoon.

Later this summer, members of the English Supercar Club drive across Europe from September 3-8 on the Tour Alpina, finishing in St. Moritz. The five-day event, limited to only 25 Supercars, runs from Austria through Italy and into Switzerland.
