Sou'Wester restaurant has designed a wonderful Thanksgiving menu filled with seasonal favorites inspired by the Mid-Atlantic region. The three-course menu will be served to the table "family-style," allowing guests to dine at their own pace while enjoying a convivial sense of community.

Available on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., this dining experience is $65 per guest; $35 for children six to 12 years (includes ice tea and lemonade, and guests age five or under are complimentary). Reservations are recommended.

For visiting friends and family, special “Birds Eye View” rates will be available, starting at $235. Enjoy the feast of the season, and then retreat to a room with stellar views of the marina, tidal basin and both the Jefferson Memorial and Washington Monument.

Holiday meals in Sou'Wester are always a joyful culinary experience designed with the family in mind. This year, choose the restaurant's annual family-style, three-course dinner for either Dec. 24 or Dec. 25, or a special a la carte brunch on Dec. 25.

Dinner will be served on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cost is $65 per guest; $35 for children six to 12 years (includes ice tea and lemonade, and guests age five or under are complimentary), and reservations are recommended. Brunch will be available from 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Christmas Day.

New Year's Eve

Celebrate New Year's Eve with an evening of the city's best jazz in Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C.'s Empress Lounge. Toast and dance away 2012 while listening to the musical stylings of Sharon Clark, Byron Stripling and Nicki Parrot. Seating is available at 8 p.m., with music sets from 9:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. Package include premium seating in Empress Lounge ($260 per couple) or reserved seating in the adjacent, hotel lobby ($200 per couple), and will also include:
