Chatham Bars Inn Marks Spring Holidays With Cape-Style Mother's, Father's and Memorial Day Celebrations
The beachfront resort has planned Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and Father's Day festivities that make the most of its Cape Cod setting and its own legacy as a favorite family destination since 1914.

Mother's Day: Spring-Themed Spa Treats

Families can honor the woman who makes it all possible with a selection of mom-worthy treatments at the resort's ocean-inspired spa. Spa director Heather Deveau's Mother's Day pick is Spring Renewal, a signature treatment that employs organic lemongrass, rosemary, cypress and ylang ylang essential oils in a body wash and exfoliation followed by a sugar polish and Vichy shower. A shea butter application with warm linen wrap and tension-releasing facial massage caps off the 90-minute treatment, which is $200. Mom can also opt for a post-brunch pampering manicure and pedicure while Dad and the kids enjoy a stroll on the beach.

Memorial Day: Three-Night Stay and a “Throwback” Clambake on the Beach

Chatham Bars Inn's beachfront setting and classic Cape Cod ambience make it ideal for a Memorial Day Weekend getaway. The resort's Spirit Package for two, valid May 23-25, includes three nights' accommodations, breakfast each day, and a special Sunday clambake dinner, served family style on the beach (in a nod to Chatham Bars Inn's clambakes of yesteryear). Guests will find plenty of memorable ways to celebrate the start of the summer season at Chatham Bars Inn, from a refreshing plunge in the swimming pool to collecting shells on a beach stroll to kayaking in Chatham Harbor. Rates for the Spirit Package start at $449 per night and include tax, resort fee and service charge.

Father's Day: Classic Cars, Cocktails, and Baseball

This year, Father's Day coincides with a very special vintage weekend at Chatham Bars Inn. On June 14, classic cars will be on display at the resort for the Second Annual Chatham Antique Car Invitational. The old-fashioned fun continues with family-style lawn games and a croquet tournament, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In the evening, dads and their dames can slip Prohibition-style into Hardy's Speakeasy (otherwise known as the Sacred Cod) for a night of specialty cocktails and live jazz. Families can cap off a “vintage Dad” getaway by catching the Cape Cod Baseball League's Chatham Anglers in a choice of home games against the Orleans Firebirds Saturday evening and the Cotuit Kettleers Sunday afternoon at nearby Veterans Field.

A special Anniversary Package is also available June 13-15 only, and is an option for dads with a taste for time travel. The highlight of the package is tickets to Chatham Bars Inn's Roaring 20s Costume Ball on June 14, which will feature a cocktail reception, three-course dinner, dancing to a 20-piece band, and prizes for best attire. The offer includes two nights' accommodations and breakfast for two daily and is $998.
