Spring is in the air and Coquillade Provence Resort & Spa opens its doors today for the 2022 season. This year, the hotel reveals a brand-new spa concept to be enjoyed within 2,000sqm of serenity, dedicated to relaxation and holistic wellness at the heart of the Luberon. The new concept promises to take guests on a physical and mental journey, where classic treatments from around the world meet with modern science in the Coquillade Provence Spa, one of the largest spas in the region.
The spa comprises 11 treatment cabins, an ice fountain, hammam, Kneipp basins and a whirlpool, all overlooking the hotel’s quintessentially Provençal vineyards. This season, the spa will introduce two new, all-natural wellness brands, Tata Harper and the Parisian ‘brand du jour’ Biologique Recherche, to the treatment menu along with outdoor yoga sessions and art therapy masterclasses, all to support guests looking to reduce stress. Tata Harper is renowned for its commitment to 100% natural, high-quality products, and Biologique Recherche has a reputation for astounding effectiveness using intentionally pure, raw active ingredients, supporting the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and natural wellness.
The season also launches with a new emblematic treatment; the Coquillade Signature Beauty & Bodycare Ritual which incorporates a scrub made from grapes grown at the surrounding Aureto vineyards and lavender from just steps away. Finally, guests can travel the world and explore handpicked treatments from leading wellness destinations around the globe as part of the spa’s new concept – from a relaxing Californian or Swedish Massage, to an Ayurvedic Abhyanga or Hawaiian Lomi Lomi treatment, this spa has it all. The Lomi Lomi, meaning to “to squeeze” or “to knead” is a full body and face massage inspired by Hawaiian shamanic traditions and the forces of nature, to relax and invigorate, purify and nourish.
The spa will also now offer a range of cures and retreats designed to enhance guests physical and mental wellbeing, complete with a health-focused diet led by a naturopath, who is on hand to design a stay full of tailored activities. Guests choose from a 5-hour or 10-hour programme and work with the spa team to create a stay based on their needs and wishes. Programmes include In & Out Beauty, No Stress, Detox and Shape, Sport & More. Whether guests are booking in to enjoy a treatment, dedicated cure, or simply to work out, this is a place to unwind, collect one’s thoughts and practice self-care, amidst the bucolic lavender fields, vines and olive trees.
