Double Fun: Norman Carr Offers Two Rivers Safari in Zambia
Travelers will explore two of Zambia's premier wildlife destinations; the South Luangwa and the Lower Zambezi National Parks. Rates start at $3845 per person.

Combine walking and driving safaris in these two magnificent National Parks with the optional extra activities of canoeing and tiger fishing on the Zambezi, the river after which Zambia is named, and the river that forms Victoria Falls. This incredibly affordable safari combines Norman Carr Safaris' Kapani Lodge and Chongwe Safaris' Kasaka River Lodge – great for families or those on more of a budget.

Your trip of a lifetime begins in the South Luangwa National Park, a highly revered wildlife sanctuary in Luangwa River valley that is home to one of Africa's highest concentration of leopard, herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles, and indigenous species like Cookson's wildebeest and Crawshay's zebra. The park is characterized by its biodiversity: it contains both Mopane and Southern Miombo woodlands, which attract the variety of species which makes the park so perfect for game viewing. The Lower Zambezi National Park is nestled on the northern bank of the Zambezi River, its floodplain a wildlife haven for buffalos, antelopes, elephants, lions, leopards, antelopes, crocodiles and hippos.

Two Rivers Safari is offered at several different price points. With the silver option travelers will stay at Kapani Lodge in the South Luangwa for the first five nights, and at Kasaka River Lodge in the Lower Zambezi for the last four. Kapani is an intimate space that houses just 18 guests. Its rugged architecture, thick thatched roofs and large gauzed windows, compliment the total ‘safari experience.' Guests can enjoy al fresco dinners and relax by the picturesque pool. Kasaka is a tented camp situated on an idyllic plot of land on the Zambezi, bookended by the Lower Zambezi National Park and Mana Pools World Heritage Site in Zimbabwe. Each of the eight tents and two bedroom, private Hippo Pod is isolated and offers guests relative solitude, which fosters a connection with the surrounding landscape.

Those seeking unparalleled luxury can stay at the brand-new, eco-luxe lodge CHINZOMBO, and Chongwe Suites. To keep this adventure going, guests can add an additional two nights at Tongabezi or Sindabezi to see Victoria Falls.
