Following a bevy of recent awards, El Conquistador Resort, The Waldorf Astoria Collection, continues to define excellence with its two latest pieces of recognition.

The resort announced that it has received the prestigious Meetings & Conventions' 2010 Gold Tee Award, as well as the Fodor’s Choice distinction for 2010 from Fodor's Travel.

Voted on by more than 60,000 discerning meeting professionals, the highly respected Meetings & Conventions Gold Tee Award is presented annually to the world's most exceptional golf and meeting properties. To qualify as a Gold Tee Award recipient, meeting professionals must witness the hotel's capability to blend a professional meeting atmosphere with championship golf courses. This year, 74 properties earned the votes to win a Gold Tee Award.

Since 1988, Fodor's Travel has awarded the Fodor's Choice distinction to only the world's best hotels, restaurants and attractions. Each year during their global travels, Fodor's writers evaluate thousands of properties in consideration for Fodor’s Choice acclaim.
