Ellenborough Park's Beaufort Dining Room Awarded Three AA Rosettes
The accolade comes after several visits from undercover AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors who only award Rosettes to outstanding restaurants.

The inspectors found that executive head chef, David Kelman, and his team, consistently deliver high quality food using the best ingredients, with excellent flavour combinations, timing and seasoning. Inspectors look for skill and excellence in cooking, while service and the wine list also support the final result.

David Kelman, executive head chef, said: “It has taken a lot of hard work to achieve three AA Rosettes, and this is another milestone on our journey to achieve the highest recognition for our food. It is rewarding to be part of a talented team, each of whom has contributed to Ellenborough Park's reputation as one of the UK's best venues for fine dining.”

Simon Numphud, hotel services manager at the AA, said: “We are delighted to recognise Ellenborough Park with three AA Rosettes in the 2013 AA Restaurant Guide. Restaurants awarded three, four or five AA Rosettes represent the top 10% of the restaurants in the guide.

“The award of three AA Rosettes highlights outstanding restaurants that achieve standards that demand national recognition well beyond their local area. The cooking will be underpinned by the selection and sympathetic treatment of the highest quality ingredients. Timing, seasoning and the judgement of flavour combinations will be consistently excellent. These virtues will tend to be supported by other elements such as intuitive service and a well chosen wine list.

“Ellenborough Park joins just three other establishments in Gloucestershire that have been awarded three AA Rosettes.”

Contributing to The Beaufort Dining Room's reputation for exceptional service is Jonathan Whitemore, junior head waiter, who was recently awarded the Academy of Culinary Arts' Annual Award of Excellence 2012, for demonstrating a high level of knowledge, service skills, interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Since opening in March 2011, Ellenborough Park has become Gloucestershire's first AA Five Star hotel and spa; achieved the Wine Spectator's ‘Award of Excellence' two years in a row; scooped TripAdvisor's ‘Award of Excellence' 2012; and named Hotel of the Year at the 2012 at the Cotswold Tourism Awards.
