Experience the Northern Lights with Hurtigruten's Norway Voyage
These nine- and 10-day trips place Hurtigruten guests in an optimal position above the Arctic Circle, where the Northern Lights are more often seen. A staple of Norwegian culture since 1893, Hurtigruten’s fleet of modern ships offers a unique glimpse into Norwegian culture as they transport guests and locals alike along Norway’s scenic fjord-indented west coast, stopping at 34 ports of call between the cultural center of Bergen and Kirkenes, high above the Arctic Circle.

Nine-day southbound packages and 10-day northbound packages departing October 1 through December 29 are priced from $2,251 to $3,627 per person, double. The fares include a six- or seven-day voyage with all meals on board; roundtrip flight from Newark; hotel accommodations for two nights at either end of the sailing; airport and ship transfers and current air, cruise and hotel taxes and air fuel surcharges. Additional add-on gateways from more than 50 North America cities, including Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Toronto, are offered at fares of $95 to $845 per person. This offer is for new bookings only, capacity-controlled, cannot be customized (beyond purchasing optional excursions), and must be fully paid within 48 hours of booking. Air carriers and routing are at the discretion of Hurtigruten.

The incredible diversity of ports offers Hurtigruten’s guests a wealth of experiences and an ever-changing landscape of small fishing villages in the rugged Lofoten Islands; Art Nouveau Ålesund, the medieval Viking capital of Trondheim; and Norway's "Paris of the North," Tromsø. Guests can purchase optional excursions that range from a trip to The North Cape, the northernmost point on the European continent, with a visit to the North Cape Hall and time spent with the local Sami people and their reindeer herds, to A Taste of Vesterålen, which takes in the historical and cultural highlights of this incredibly scenic archipelago region between Harstad and Sortland; and Trondheim with Nidaros Cathedral where guests can explore this well-preserved 1,000-year-old city and its near 1,000-year-old cathedral.

Proudly transporting both freight and passengers for 120 years, Hurtigruten is a world leader in expedition voyages, sailing to such remote destinations as Antarctica, Greenland and the Arctic’s Spitsbergen, as well as year round along Norway's coast and Europe in the spring and fall. The company’s fleet of 12 intimate ships, which each carry 100 to 646 guests, allows travelers to enjoy the scenery and culture of the destination in a relaxed atmosphere.
