Celebrating years of history and memorable moments, Fairmont guests – past and present – are invited to take advantage of exclusive offers and events throughout the year.

From the Diamond anniversary of the Bengal Lounge at The Fairmont Empress, to the historic transformation of Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and the notable Bed-in for Peace by John Lennon & Yoko Ono at Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, each iconic Fairmont property celebrates an important moment in time with authentic experiences to create lasting memories for years to come.

Offers and events include:

• The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth: In celebration of the 45th anniversary of John Lennon & Yoko Ono’s 1969 Bed-in for Peace, this downtown Montreal hotel will host the international touring exhibition, GIVE PEACE A CHANCE: John Lennon & Yoko Ono’s Bed-in for Peace featuring unpublished images from the archives of Gerry Deiter, the only photo journalist to cover the entire eight days of the bed-in while on assignment for Life magazine. The exhibit, packed with eight days of exciting events for the whole family, will open on Monday, May 26 and run through Monday, June 2, 2014. Admission is free and exhibit hours are 11AM to 9PM daily.

• The Fairmont Palliser: With its centennial on the horizon, Calgary's premier hotel is set to turn 100 years young on June 1, 2014. To commemorate this momentous anniversary, the hotel will be hosting a series of events throughout the year to honor its history. Celebrations will include the announcement of an amnesty for lost and found items stolen over the last 100 years, city street tea dances, a History Alley where on the boulevard-level a display will be shared of archives collected from the hotel’s 100-year-history, the gathering of items for a time capsule to be buried at the end of the anniversary year, a series of feature era menus to be prepared by culinary team, an authentically local company to brew a Palliser Ale, a collectors’ novel published all about the castle by the tracks, and a collaboration with the Calgary Stampede.

• Fairmont Le Château Frontenac: Right off the heels of the property’s 120th anniversary, Quebec City’s landmark hotel is currently undergoing a USD $70 million revitalization and modernization. This includes the renovation of guestrooms, renovation and expansion of the Fairmont Gold executive floors, transformation of the main lobby, expansion of the banquet area, introduction of new restaurant concepts and addition of a world-class health club and Spa. It marks a transition to a contemporary style that remains respectful of the hotel’s history and Quebec’s heritage. Renovations are scheduled to be completed in June 2014.

• The Fairmont Empress: To celebrate its 60 years of service excellence, the Bengal Lounge is offering lunch for two at the curry buffet with a glass of sparkling wine for $60 CAD from now until the end of May. A Bengal Diamond Cocktail has also been created in honor of the special year, inspired from the “Empress Special” cocktail listed on the 1958 lounge menu. Guests can also share their photographs and memories through social media at #Bengal60.

• Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu: Guests can experience 115 years of history with this luxury hotel and celebrate 20 years of winnings with the Casino de Charlevoix. From April 15 to June 30, 2014, guests can take advantage of a limited number of 15 Fairmont rooms at $115 CAD per night, as well as $20 CAD in casino chips to test their luck at the Casino de Charlevoix.

Those not able to take advantage of the premier promotion will have the opportunity to book two consecutive nights from April 16 to August 31, 2014 and receive the third night free along with the $20 CAD in casino chips.

• The Fairmont Chateau Whistler: November marks the start of 25 Days of Giveaways to celebrate the Silver Anniversary of this luxury mountain resort by giving back to its guests. Every guest checking in from November 1-25, 2014 will choose an envelope with a surprise gift. The gifts will range from complimentary upgrades; to spa and restaurant gift certificates; as well as Whistler Blackcomb Lift Tickets. To top off the 25 days of Giveaways, five lucky guests will win their entire stay at the property.

• Fairmont Battery Wharf: Boston’s urban waterfront retreat celebrates its fifth anniversary with “The Fifth Anniversary Package,” which includes overnight accommodations and a daily $55 food and beverage or spa credit. Rates for this package start at $255 and are available through March 31, 2014.

During the summer months, guests can take advantage of a variety of activities from the Flash Forward Photography Festival in May, to live outdoor concerts in June and July, and lobster bakes and sailing excursions.

• Fairmont Hotel Vancouver: The “pop up” trend has brought the return of The Roof restaurant on the 15th floor for the hotel’s 75th anniversary. Open until the fall, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of snow-capped coastal mountains to the Point Grey peninsula and the Strait of Georgia over breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

• Fairmont Vancouver Airport: Celebrating its 15th anniversary, guests can enjoy a variety of offerings throughout the year. Each month, until the birthday month of October, there will be a special feature and guests can share their favorite memories – past or present – through social media at #FairmontYVR15.

One month guests can enjoy a $15 entrée in the award-winning Globe@YVR restaurant, a wine flight for $15 in the Jetside Bar or with a nod to the opening in 1999, a flash sale for a $99 CAD guestroom. On the anniversary date of October 7, $15 CAD room rates will be available for a limited number of rooms. Guests can also take advantage of the ongoing Celebrating Anniversaries package offering rooms from $249 CAD with a $15 per person food and beverage credit.
