Here's a sampling of what's on offer:

Tuscany & Cinque Terre

For centuries, a connecting footpath was their lifeline, but for us it's the scenic route into a remote and vibrant coastal culture. Beforehand, we spend three nights in the parts of Tuscany we love best…complete with hilltowns that rise out of silver-green olive groves, homemade prosciutto and potato ravioli and the sunny vineyards of Chianti. Throughout, we'll explore the art history, and savor the food and wine during this quiet period in the region allowing you to embrace the authenticity of the culture. But in the end, will you prefer walking tours in Tuscany or the Cinque Terre? The good news is that because this trip gives you both, you don't have to decide.

A Week in Provence

Think quiet country trails that wind through cherry orchards beneath rustic perched villages. In season, purple ribbons of lavender drape the hills. A friend (who also happens to be your local guide) insists on drizzling your warm bread with the award-winning olive oil she presses herself. You bask in the legendary sunlight, in the very landscapes Cezanne and van Gogh painted. And fair warning: on our walking tour in Provence you can get very used to lunches that end with ripe figs, goat cheese and a final sip of chilly rosé. This is Provence at its purest, and you will never forget it.

Charleston & Savannah

We walk our fair share of moss-draped lanes and through arches of colorfully changing leaves –but instead of admiring fine restorations of prosperous homes from the outside, we go in for private tours and even dinner under the chandelier. We meet up with the Gullah culture, too, with its strong West African traditions and visit the country's most unique living history museums. To our mind, there's just no other region in America with such a distinctive meld of history, climate and way of life, and we'll share it all with you in gracious style on our walking tour of Charleston & Savannah.
