First-ever Resort Spa on Catalina Island to Open in July
Opening in July 2014 in time for the island's summer crowd, Santa Catalina Island Company will pamper guests and locals at Island Spa Catalina, the islands first-ever resort spa. Reflecting Catalina's rich history and seaside atmosphere, the brand new spa will offer a variety of signature treatments and rejuvenating therapies using island-grown ingredients. Island Spa Catalina will be located inside the historical El Encanto building in Avalon and feature 15,000-square feet of indoor space in addition to a variety of outdoor experiential components including a café, courtyard, soaking pool and vista deck.

Island Spa Catalina's signature treatments include:

• Cat-Nap: Restful sleep (even just a nap) is one of the most important things we can do for our bodies. Slumber away Catalina style on our signature warm sand table and wake up with a revived and energized body and senses.

• Sea Oxygen De-Age Facial: Pure white algae, white wine, white tea, and copper peptides blend with marine-based anti-aging serums to visibly brighten skin and help reduce pigmentation. Marine-based ingredients are custom-blended to gently remove impurities, hydrate and minimize the appearance of fine lines.

• Seaweed Surrender: Soothe hormonal stress of any age with a body scrub to stimulate your lymphatic and circulatory systems. A customized organic scrub blend of seaweed, pumice and acai purifies pores and polishes the skin.
