Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay Debuts New Spa Treatments

Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay Debuts New Spa Treatments
The Spa recently unwrapped a new look earlier this year with the refurbishment of all treatment rooms and great room featuring a clean, contemporary design incorporating natural wood found throughout the islands materials reflecting the hues and tones found on Lanai, anchored by distinctive Hawaiian artwork.

A new menu launching this month highlights a number of Hawaiian influenced treatments as well as a new range of well-being sessions. A selection is as follows:

Royal Hawaiian Facial Featuring JK7 $375

Developed exclusively for The Spa at Manele Bay, this intensely relaxing facial uses the ancient practice of heated and cooled stones to massage the face, décolleté, hands and feet coupled with JK7, a truly luxurious, natural skin care collection, made in the Hawaiian islands by the distinguished Dr. Jurgen Klein. Utilizing the highest quality natural, active, ingredients available, this high-performance treatment delivers results by repairing, restoring and enhancing all skin types through the use of one-of-a kind signature herb and fruit extracts. 80 minutes.

Macadamia Sugar Polish $240

Polish your skin with a body scrub of ground macadamia nuts, grown abundantly on the Hawaiian islands, blended with pure Hawaiian cane sugar. Dull skin is gently exfoliated, releasing a glow that is felt both inside and out. Then, complete the experience with a virgin coconut oil full-body massage. 80 minutes.

Makakiʻi Kalo / Taro Honey Mask $165
A hydrating mask that combines nutrient-rich Kalo (taro) with cleansing and conditioning coconut milk, skin-softening honey, enzyme- and nutrient-rich banana, hydrating aloe and moisturizing Kukui oil. 50 minutes.

Hawaiian Spa Rituals

Two new three-hour rituals celebrate the Hawaiian orientation of Makai (towards the ocean) or Mauka (towards the mountain).

Hawaiians go to the ocean for healing the mind and spirit in Makai. This ritual begins with a visit to the steam room. Relax and sip Makai black tea grown in Hawaii. A full body exfoliation using Hawaiian sea salts and essential oils is followed a Limu and Sea Clay body and full-body massage treatment enhanced with warm stones. This ritual culminates with a tropical coconut smoothie.

The mountains were highly esteemed by the Hawaiians of old. They traveled to the uplands to collect fresh water, fruits and herbs, hunted for food and sourced wood for canoes, homes and more. The Mauka ritual begins with an aromatic Pineapple-Citrus body polish to honor the pineapple era of Lāna'i. Next, sample Oolong tea grown on the slopes of Volcano Mauna Loa with a Pine and Eucalyptus full-bodymassage incorporating a bamboo stick to soothe sore muscles. Rejuvenate with a customized facial and refreshing aloe water.

In addition to treatments, the Spa now offers a collection of Wellness Services, from Private Life Coaching to Meditation. Sessions range from 25-100 minutes and can be combined over the course of a visit to improve your well-being. Sample sessions include Deep Sleep Experience which incorporates massage along with guided meditation and conscious sleeping for complete rejuvenation and a refreshed state of mind; Private Life Coaching to assist in defining life goals and a path towards achievement; Energy Bodywork, featuring varied techniques, such as Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki for renewed energy and Zen-out, a reflexology foot or hand massage combined with guided transformational insight meditation.
