Four Seasons Resort Nevis Starts New Year with Updated Look
With renovations on accommodations, innovative new dining and experiential activity programs, new flight service direct to the island, and high season savings, now is a better time than ever to visit this hidden gem that blends casual island charm with a refined style.

Renovated Luxury Suites

As the final installation of the resort's $110 million dollar renovation, Four Seasons Resort Nevis just unveiled its two newly refurbished top luxury suites, Afterglow and Seascape. Inspired by the island's low-key and unhurried attitude, San Francisco-based interior design firm, BAMO, applied a contemporary, simplified aesthetic to the two one-bedroom suites, while maintaining a superior level of luxury and comfort throughout. Afterglow and Seascape each offer an airy and effortless environment, where a "surf & sand" color palette, clean lines and simple shapes combine to create a serene space for rest and relaxation. Light limed oak furnishings, ivory linens, limestone and earthy, natural textures are balanced with accents of saturated Caribbean hues in turquoise and pink. Providing an optimal setting for casual entertaining amidst the lush, tropical surroundings, the suites feature full length, furnished terraces with sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea and the resort's Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course. Each suite spans over 1600 square feet and can be configured to two or three-bedroom options, offering an unprecedented luxury experience whether for a romantic retreat or a family getaway.

A Locavore's Paradise

Executive Chef Andreas Donnerbauer and his culinary team are proud to partner with Nevisian Farmer Mansa, a local agricultural legend who supplies the resort with organic ingredients for the newly introduced "Farm to Fork" menu at Mango. The resort's West Indian waterfront restaurant is a popular favorite for guests and locals alike. In addition, guests can arrange guided tours of Mansa's Farm through the concierge to learn about sustainable fruit and vegetable farming while sampling Nevis' bounty ripe off the vine. Back at the resort, Mango serves up sensuous Caribbean specialties and cocktails for guests to enjoy while taking in sweeping ocean views on the restaurant's open-air deck. Some of the most popular dishes on the menu include papaya slaw, Cades Bay tomato and avocado salad, Carib beer-battered flying fish, and ground provisions roti-- “ground provisions” being the local term for root vegetables.

Further solidifying the resort's commitment to the local food movement, Four Seasons Resort Nevis has taken the term “fresh fish” to a new level with its new “Catch & Cook” program. Each week, local fishermen dock on Pinney's beach at noon with their fresh catches, inviting guests to choose their very own “catch of the day” to be cooked on the spot. Selections may range from Dorado, Wahoo, Big Eye Red Snapper and if “guests are lucky,” says Chef Andreas, Caribbean Spiny Lobster. Guests can then join along as the chefs dispense simple grilling tips while preparing their fish to order.

Custom Fragrance Blending

Guests seeking their own signature fragrance need to look no further than the property's new custom blending program at the resort's award-winning Spa. Designed by celebrity perfumer Ajne, the treatment includes a scent analysis and prêt-a-porter fragrance consultation by a trained Four Seasons melanger, an aromatherapy and blending expert. The bespoke fragrances are inspired by the natural florals and scents of Nevis and can be purchased in a unique souvenir bottle or a necklace pendant. The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Nevis also launched its own signature Coconut Frangipiani product line made with organic and sustainable ingredients. The products are available for use in the lounges and are retailed in the Spa boutique as takeaway travel kits.

Nature Excursions

Dating back to the 1600's, Nevis is steeped in history and offers travelers the opportunity to explore some of the Caribbean's most pristine and untouched landscapes in a way that is interactive and educational. New resort programs that have been implemented exclusively for guests include:

• Rainforest Hikes and Tours with the island's Bush Medicine Man to learn about local healing ingredients utilized in the resort's dining and spa venues. For a day excursion, guests can visit one of the island's small villages, Peak Heaven, and enjoy lush tropical surroundings complete with hiking trails, garden tours, relaxation areas and lunch at the popular Coal Pot restaurant.
• On-property Garden Tours led by one of the resort's resourceful staff botanists led by Director of Landscaping Dane Sandiford. While exploring flora along the golf course and other parts of the property, guests will be educated on the native plants of Nevis including the national Ponciana Tree with its seasonal red and orange color bursts on the golf course and the different variety of coconut trees on the island.

New Laser Sailing Lessons

The resort's recently launched Laser Sail School is the only of its kind in the Caribbean and is ideal for guests looking to earn their sailor stripes. The two-day instructional program includes a four-hour session each morning and afternoon and covers the basics of wind direction, safety and boat setup before heading out on the water for hands-on sailing instruction with the experienced marine staff.

Updated Fitness Center

Combining fitness with luxury, the newly expanded state-of-the-art Fitness Center located in the resort's Sports Pavilion has been updated to offer the best in training equipment. The refurbished space has been expanded to include a stretching area and features an all new weight lifting circuit area, complemented by new Technogym equipment. Fitness programs include Flexercise, Body Conditioning, Core Development, Yoga and guided fitness walks along the scenic Robert Trent Jones II golf course.

Luxury Yacht Launch

Offering a unique guest arrival experience, Four Seasons Resort Nevis offers a private passage from the St. Kitts airport to the property aboard the resort's Island Express III or new double-decker luxury yacht, Nevisian Spirit. Guests are met by Four Seasons staff at the St. Kitts Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw Airport and then transported by the private launch directly to the resort pier. Once onboard, guests are offered chilled lemongrass scented towels, healthy snacks, specialty cocktails and sparkling wines, while they take in the stunning views of the sister islands of St. Kitts and Nevis during the 35-minute journey across the narrows. The newest addition to the Resort' fleet is the Nevisian Dream boat, just launched this month. The 20-passenger vessel can zip across the narrows from St. Kitts to Nevis in 20 minutes.
