Four Seasons Resorts Lanai Debut New Luxurious Amenities
Known for use in protecting the skin from environmental elements like sun, salt and wind, kukui, or candlenut, oil is a key ingredient in the new line called ‘āina, now in-room at the luxury beachside resort on LānaÊ»i. The name means land that nourishes in Hawaiian, and serves to showcase the local source of the kukui nuts – Alberta's Farm located 20 minutes from the resort.

The in-room amenity line features 89 ml bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer, after-sun cooling lotion, as well as body bar, unscented glycerin face bar and bath salts. Kukui nuts are high in vitamins A, E & F, it enhances conditioning and protects against the elements such as sun, salt and wind. The body soap contains RSPO (sustainable palm oil) and Hawaiian granulated sugar, which acts as a natural humectant, binding moisture to skin. Additional components to the line include pineapple and awapuhi (Hawaiian white ginger) extracts, aloe vera, shea butter and cucumber.

A selection of products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturizer and after sun lotion) will be available at The Spa at Manele Bay for purchase, to enjoy at home or to give as gifts. The items will retail for $28 per 8.8 oz bottle. Additionally, the spa will feature 50-minute manicures and pedicures showcasing bath salts, sugar scrubs and body butter from ‘āina.

The kukui tree is the state tree of Hawai‘i, and was bought by Polynesian settlers to the islands. The nuts are sourced from Alberta's Farm, an 18-acre farm which Lanai native Alberta de Jetley started in 2003. While not a certified organic farm, all of its produce is grown with natural farming methods to ensure a "grown by hand" quality. The farm is the site of NOBU LANAI's garden, where Alberta grows the resort restaurant's assortment of more than 18 vegetables ranging from lettuce (the island's soil contributes to its exceptional taste) to kohlrabi, edamame, shishito peppers and apple bananas.

The Hawaiian hotel recently unveiled a lobby-to-roof, multi-million dollar transformation introducing an exclusive airport lounge in the Honolulu International Airport, new restaurants, luxury retail boutiques, a renovated Spa and public areas, and newly redesigned guestrooms rich in bespoke furnishings. The new contemporary décor reflects the tones and textures of the island and adds a Hawaiian aesthetic, featuring rich colors from the earth, sand and brush as well as thoughtfully curated artwork from across Polynesia, Micronesia and Hawai‘i.

The new amenity line is produced exclusively for Four Seasons Resorts LānaÊ»i by LATHER, creator of top-quality products for the body, face, hair and home – all made from unique, natural ingredients and pure essential oils which contains no synthetic fragrances or colors, products are free of parabens, phthalates and sulfates, are cruelty-free and packaging is made from 100% recycled materials.
