Take a seat at the restaurant’s High Table in the buzz of Bar Boulud’s lounge as David shares his secrets during these informal, themed master-classes.

Taking place between 6pm and 7.30pm, the early evening tastings are priced at £35 per person and are inspired by the following themes:

Friday 7 February
White Wine: Taste like a Professional

Focusing on developing tasting skills with the help of everyday flavors including herbs, butter, chocolate and fruit, guests’ will learn to identify and isolate these flavours during this session with a tasting of six different white wines selected by David.

Friday 7 March
Red Wine: Taste like a Professional

Focusing on developing tasting skills with the help of everyday flavors including leather, blackberries, tobacco and coconut, guests’ will learn to identify and isolate these flavors during this session with a tasting of six different red wines selected by David.

Bar Boulud’s First Beer Master-Classes at the High Table

Join Head Sommelier David Vareille at the High Table as he turns his attention to beer to celebrate the full range of rare beers offered on Bar Boulud’s menu and leads this tasting of some of the rarest beers in the world…

Exploring the versatility and complexity of the beers, the tasting will investigate the world of craft beer. Focusing on microbrewery from around the world, guests will taste some of the finest lagers, ale, pale ales, india pale ales, fruit and black beers. Featuring Mikkeller, exclusive to Bar Boulud from the gypsy microbrewer Mikkel Borg Bjergso, Schaehallion lager and Bitter and Twisted blond beer from Clackmannanshire as well as Brew Dog, Punk from Scotland, Bellerose blond ale from France, Anchor Liberty Ale from San Francisco, Schneider-Weisse, a light wheat beer from Germany, and Früh, a Kölsch style beer from Cologne, Germany.
