Geneva's Five-Star Hotel d'Angleterre Receives Luxurious Makeover

Geneva's Five-Star Hotel d'Angleterre Receives Luxurious Makeover
The rooms have been beautifully redecorated by the Founder and President of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, Beatrice Tollman, her daughter Antoinette Tollman, and lead designer Brian Brennan.

All the rooms are completely unique with their own special character, and include updated marble bathrooms. Rich silks and sumptuous velvets coordinate with handcrafted furniture and antique chandeliers; individually designed Stark carpet and James Hare silk wall coverings complete the elegant updated look. The new décor includes the addition of a fabulous selection of original art, including the works of Georges Braque, Salvador Dali, Fernand Léger, Sem (Georges Goursat), Marc Chagall, Raoul Ubac, and André Marchand. The renovations for 15 additional rooms will be complete in May, and the 12 remaining rooms will be completed in August 2013.

Dating back to 1872, and wonderfully located overlooking Lake Geneva, Hotel d'Angleterre specializes in a style of service where old world charm meets new world service. Opulently luxurious guest rooms set the tone: majestic views of the Jet d'Eau, Mont Blanc, and surrounding mountains reinforce the exalted ambience and provide a spectacular backdrop to dining in the renowned Windows Restaurant. The sophisticated and extremely popular Leopard Room Bar and Lounge comes to life in the evenings, with an extensive cocktail and wine list to accompany the contemporary live music. A gem for the discerning in one of Europe's most sparkling cities, Hotel d'Angleterre is located in the heart of Geneva's shopping and financial districts just 15 minutes from the airport, five minutes from the railway station, and an hour away from superb Alpine skiing.
