Geneva’s Windows Restaurant at Five-Star Hotel d’Angleterre

Geneva’s Windows Restaurant at Five-Star Hotel d’Angleterre
Unbelievable views of Lake Geneva, the Jet d'Eau, Mont Blanc, and the exquisite, inventive cuisine of Executive Chef Philippe Audonnet. Superb food and breathtaking scenery come with service to match, of course, and Windows' attentive staff members are unobtrusive, discreet, and professional.

For more than a decade, Chef Audonnet has been looking after the Hotel d'Angleterre's kitchen. Passionate and rigorous in his approach, he is always looking for new tastes and combinations to please the most discerning customers. Audonnet and his team offer a broad range of gastronomic treats: Their own sought-after specialties, international favorites, and home-style dishes to raise your spirits on a bitter midwinter day. If your favorite comfort food isn't on the menu, they'll cook it for you any time, day or night, assuming that the kitchen has all the necessary ingredients.

And as you would expect, the fabulous wine list matches the excellent variety of food on offer. Windows is proud to be privately-owned and run, and they welcome diners' specific requests. In order to keep abreast of the best products and innovations, every Saturday morning, Audonnet visits the Rive Market where his favorite suppliers are present, including Bruand Cheeses, Molard Butchery, and Betjeman & Barton Teas.

For details of our business lunch, please view a sample of our Fast & Delicious Menu, which changes from week to week depending on the best seasonal produce. Windows Restaurant also serves a Classic Menu from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, and all day on Sunday. Traditional High Tea has become a legacy and is a must. It is served at Windows Restaurant which is a popular destination for this most pleasurable of social occasions.

Born in France, in the region of Charentes, Philippe Audonnet's passion comes from his grandmother who, more than anything, loved cooking. When he was a small boy, he was guided by the tasty scents that escaped from her kitchen. From the Vieux Logis, a Relais & Chateaux in Dordogne, to the kitchens of Vergé, Taillevent, and the Hotel Ritz in Paris, his feelings for gastronomy and his love of a job well done was reinforced by his training and experience with these legends. To familiarize himself with the Mediterranean culture, Audonnet spent four years at the Eden Roc hotel in Cap d'Antibes. Gaston Lenôtre, Frédy Girardet, Guy Savoy – all famous names in French Cuisine – helped Audonnet acquire the finishing touch to his achievement in the marvelous art of cooking.
