Hamptons Newest Luxury Hotel Destination Opens

-

c/o The Maidstone, The Hamptons Newest Luxury Hotel Destination Opens with a New Lounge and Slow Food Restaurant.

c/o Hotels, the Scandinavian lifestyle hotel company will open its newly renovated luxury destination, c/o The Maidstone. The hotel, formerly known as the Maidstone Arms, is based in East Hampton, New York and will welcome guests and diners on May 19th. Visitors will discover a new chef, slow food restaurant, and a unique hospitality lifestyle experience termed "Scandinavian Cozy" by the Proud Owner and Founder of c/o Hotels, Jenny Ljungberg.

The rooms are filled with Scandinavian antiques, an eclectic mix of decorative arts, luxurious spa-like bathrooms, the finest organic linens and the latest technology. A pair of freestanding cottages adorned with traditional stencils inspired by 17th century Kurbits paintings, will be available for even more exclusive stays. Curated images courtesy of non-profit charity Blind Spot will be displayed in rooms, public areas, and will be available for sale.

A central attraction at c/o The Maidstone will be The Living Room, the redesigned restaurant. Under the partnership of celebrated East End chef James Carpenter and Swedish sous chef Bjorn Eriksson, the kitchen will be the standard bearer for the slow food movement in the Hamptons. "It is always rewarding to share the bounty of the local farmers," said Carpenter. The menu will feature a variety of seasonal classics reinterpreted with a Scandinavian hint. The restaurant's slow food philosophy carries through to the wine list, which offers an array of eco-friendly wines from around the world and a selection of wines from Long Island's East End. Unique "home away from home" features include a personal assistant for hire, a dog walker, and iPods and bicycles for loan. Personalized boxed lunches courtesy of The Living Room will be offered for daily beach jaunts or picnics.

Ljungberg remarks, "We want our guests to feel like they are living with their friends when they stay with us. Whether in Stockholm, the Swedish countryside or the Hamptons, it's a given that our friends come to stay in our care at c/o Hotels."
