Hotel Arts Barcelona Celebrates Groundbreaking Exhibition at Museu Picasso
Located just a short stroll from the Museu Picasso is Hotel Arts Barcelona, an iconic hotel that has a long-standing reputation for its relationship with art. It was one of the first luxury hotels to introduce a private art collection as part of the interior design and is framed by Frank Gehry’s world-renowned sculpture.

The art works on show at the eagerly anticipated ‘Picasso/Dalí, Dalí/Picasso’ exhibition at the Museu Picasso come together from more than 20 international art museums and private collections with a focus on paintings, featuring drawings, prints and sculpture.

In celebration of the exhibition, Hotel Arts Barcelona is offering guests a ‘Picasso/Dalí’ experience which includes tickets to the exhibition* plus cocktails and tapas inspired by the artists at Frank’s Bar.

Taking inspiration from both artists, Frank’s Bar has created an innovative ‘Picasso/Dalí’ cocktail menu to reflect the two artists. The team of mixologists took inspiration from some of Dalí’s favourite foods including watermelons and pomegranates to create the Watermeloska cocktail made from vodka, lemon, watermelon, mint, sugar and soda, and the Salty Dog cocktail created using gin and pomegranate presented in a salt-rimmed glass.

The ‘Inspiration’ cocktail was born out of Picasso’s love of the Mediterranean, from Provence to the coast of Barcelona. Made using brandy, Lillet, lime and sugar, this cocktail conjures up the essence of a Mediterranean garden with Lillet being the key ingredient made of macerated citrus fruits including the Spanish orange.

The Picasso/Dalí tapas menu suggested to accompany the cocktails includes: Ración de queso Manchego puro de oveja, a classic Spanish cheese, or Gambas fritas con salsa agridulce de mango. Dalí was known to have enjoyed eating fried fish and he also painted fish regularly in different forms.

The ‘Picasso/Dalí’ experience at Hotel Arts Barcelona starts from €350 and includes one night accommodation, two tickets to see the exhibition at the Picasso Museum in Barcelona and two themed cocktails and tapas at Frank’s Bar, Hotel Arts Barcelona.
