An Easter Escape to Reschio (April 7-10, 2023):
A long weekend to welcome the spring and enjoy the sight of the Reschio hills covered with stunning white thorn blooms. This four-night offer includes a Bathhouse spa experience, a foraging walk and a cooking class on this sprawling estate on the border of Umbria and Tuscany. The experience will also feature such Easter traditions as Easter Sunday Mass in the Bolza family chapel, with live music and aperitivi served in the courtyard, prior to Easter lunch in the Ristorante Alle Scuderie.
Krug Dinner and Picnic at Reschio (April 17, 2023):
This exclusive, elegant event begins at Reschio’s Ristorante Al Castello with a Krug Dinner, featuring an entire flight of the legendary Champagne house’s vintages. On the following day, rugs and cushions are scattered across the estate’s lawn, with special picnic baskets filled with lunch prepared for up to 30 guests. Wandering musicians entertain the assembled picnickers, while sommeliers serve Krug to all the guests. It is an event filled with nostalgia and understated glamour.
Jazz Masters of Music (May 11-14, 2023):
Steven Feifke, who just won the Grammy Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble album – making him the youngest winner ever in that category’s six decades of awards – will perform at Reschio with Benny Benack III and Camille Bertault in early May 2023. Music is a big part of life at the Hotel Castello di Reschio, as many of the excellent jazz musicians in the area play at the prestigious Umbria Jazz Festival, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary this July.
Reschio’s Family Theatrical Spectacular (July 28-29, 2023):
The summer theater tradition at Reschio began long ago when the children of the estate’s owners, Count Benedikt Bolza and his wife Donna Nencia Corsini, were young. Over the years, as the children were joined by dozens of cousins and friends, Donna Nencia was inspired to invent clever lyrics and dance routines for the kids to perform and entertain the entire family. The tradition grew and in 2022, a full-scale theatrical production was born at Reschio, with the writing of a satire about the hotel completed within 14 days, along with original choreography, music, costumes and set design. For the 2023 season, the Family Theatrical Spectacular has evolved into a two-night season of performances of a new original murder mystery on a purpose-built stage at the family’s home, complete with professional lighting.
8th Inter-House Tennis Tournament (August 14-18, 2023):
A keenly anticipated tournament takes place each August on Reschio’s AstroTurf courts, open to those staying in the Reschio Houses. They say the competition is for the love of the game, but all have their eye on the antique silver Pragnell trophy, desperate to see their name engraved for posterity. Mixed doubles are preferred, but there are no strict rules.
