Hotel Valley Ho's Andrew Chippindall Wins General Manager of the Year
The awards were given on November 18 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. Nominees are evaluated for their knowledge of the city, involvement in local issues, outstanding guest service, positive and friendly attitudes, and good standing in the Valley of the Sun Concierge Network. Nominations come from peers, and the winner is chosen by several distinguished judges who review nominations, letters of recommendation, and grateful notes from guests and colleagues to make the final Silver Plume determinations, making this award a real honor.

Andrew has been at Hotel Valley Ho since before its grand re-opening in 2005. Prior to this, he worked at the hotel's sister property, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, as front office manager. Both hotels are managed by Westroc Hotels and Resorts, bringing Andrew's time with the company to nearly ten years.

The Silver Plume Awards were started by WHERE Magazine New York 25 years ago to honor outstanding service and achievements in hotel guest service. Now, every year in WHERE cities around the world, outstanding concierges and managers are presented with Silver Plume Awards.
