Hotelito Desconocido Solecito Spa

As an almost self-sustainable property, Hotelito Desconocido’s El Solecito SPA, offers fresh products for its treatments. Most of the treatments, are elaborated with seasonal natural products harvested in the fertile farm of the property, as aloe, avocado, grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, nanche (golden spoon) and even the aphrodisiac yaca (yackfruit). Baths can be done with milk from local farm’s cows or goats. Some of the wraps are of chocolate and clay from the lagoon.

One of the most popular treatments offered in the property is its Thalasso pools, which in the 77°F weather of the area, are the only ones in Mexico located in the open air. Certified by the Association of Thalassos in Valencia, Spain which in 2013 also named the property the 4th “Best Rehab Center with Thalasso in the World,” Hotelito Desconocido’s use of the latest trend in European SPA treatments, thalassotherapy employs seawater with a density of 47% salt as a form of therapy. El Solecito SPA offers a circuit of four Thalasso pools which work to open pores and cleanses the body of toxins. The water also contain over 80 elements of the periodic table, which are necessary for our body to regenerate tissues, aids healing, reduces inflammation, and help to break fibrosis causing muscle aches, especially in the back.

In the Thalasso pools the body floats more easily, helping to lose three quarters of the weight while in treatment, increasing blood pumping, re-oxygenating the brain, increasing the number of red and white blood cells in addition to helping the healing of internal and external wounds.

Hotelito Desconocido is part of what is called health tourism; a new tendency of looking after your body, pampering and indulge yourself. Its 27 luxury and comfortable rooms (called Palafitos) are themed and inspired by the famous Mexican game “Loteria,” so each one is different in every way. Gourmet cuisine is offered at the two restaurants “Diablito” and “Nopalito”.

The Thalasso’s operation is directed by Humberto Lerma, General Director of Hotelito Desconocido, with 15 years of experience in Thalassos in Mexico and Europe; and is supervised by the acclaimed marine biologist Marianela Peña, President of the Institute of Marine Biotherapies.
