Hurtigruten Offers Special Pricing on Norwegian 'Voyage + Air' Packages
Recognized as 'The world’s most beautiful voyage,' by Lonely Planet, Hurtigruten’s modern ships sail along a route honored twice by National Geographic Traveler as the “Best Destination in the World.” A staple of Norwegian culture since 1893, Hurtigruten’s fleet of modern ships offers a unique glimpse into Norwegian culture as they transport guests and locals alike along Norway’s scenic fjord-indented west coast, stopping at 34 ports of call between the UNESCO-listed harbor city of Bergen and the Norway/Russia border town of Kirkenes.

Select six- and seven-day departures have combined voyage discounts with preferred rate air and hotel for nine-day southbound packages and ten-day northbound packages. Departing between November 2013 and May 2014, packages are priced from $2,499 per person, double – amounting to savings of $816 to $1,631, depending on ship category and departure date selected.

The incredible diversity of ports offers Hurtigruten’s guests a wealth of experiences and an ever-changing landscape of small fishing villages in the rugged Lofoten Islands; Art Nouveau Ålesund, the medieval Viking capital of Trondheim; and Norway's “Paris of the North,” Tromsø. A variety of excursions are available for booking on board – and range from the cultural (A Taste of Vesterålen and Trondheim with Nidaros Cathedral) to the more adventurous (Dog Sledding in Tromsø and Snowmobiling in Lapland).

Proudly transporting both freight and passengers for 120 years, Hurtigruten is a world leader in expedition voyages, sailing to such remote destinations as Antarctica, Greenland and the Arctic’s Spitsbergen, as well as year round along Norway's coast and Europe in the spring and fall. The company’s fleet of 12 intimate ships, which each carry 100 to 646 guests, allows travelers to enjoy the scenery and culture of the destination in a relaxed atmosphere.
