As the name suggests, the hotel is located in the epicenter of the city just steps from Magnificent Mile shopping, critically acclaimed restaurants, and popular downtown attractions, including the John Hancock Center and the shops at Water Tower Place. Enticing to both the architecture enthusiast and the inner-child in everyone, this package combines a luxurious stay at Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile with a Chicago Architecture Foundation tour exploring Chicago's history through architecture with a starting rate of $219/night. Building Chicago Block by Block also provides the opportunity for participants to create an original LEGO® design in the ArcelorMittal Design Studio @ CAF.

The Design Studio provides the ideal setting for guests of all ages to re-visit their childhood fascination with LEGO® bricks. Every Sunday, LEGO® Build workshops are led by guest designers with themes that change monthly to drive the topic of discussion and provide inspiration for building structures. LEGO® Builds are held at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sundays in February, followed by 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. sessions on Sundays in March. All LEGO® Builds are open to guests of all ages; visitors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. These LEGO® Builds must be booked six days in advance with purchase of the Building Chicago Block by Block package.

Guests who book the Building Chicago Block by Block package can choose from more than 65 walking tours that CAF offers, including such tours as Pedway East or West: Warm Walk, Cool Architecture to discover the fascinating “city below the city” used by Chicagoans every day; Chicago Board of Trade Building, a Loop icon that anchors the LaSalle Street financial corridor, to see the distinct architectural styles of the three buildings that comprise the Board of Trade; or Modern Skyscrapers, examining many of the buildings that helped earn Chicago the post-World War II reputation as a world capital of Modern architecture.

Building Chicago Block by Block includes two-night accommodation, daily breakfast at Level Two for two people, tickets for two for a CAF walking tour of their choice, and admission for two to the CAF Design Studio's Sunday LEGO® Build. Rates start at $219 for double occupancy. This package is available for stays Friday – Monday. Package must be booked at least six days in advance.
