Iguassu Falls is now officially one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature
The New Seven Wonders of Nature were nominated through a global online poll run by a Swiss foundation called New7Wonders. The results were announced in late 2011.

The full list of natural wonders is as follows:

• Iguassu Falls (Brazil/Argentina)
• The Amazon rainforest and river (Brazil)
• Jeju Island (South Korea)
• Underground river in Puerto Princesa (Philippines)
• Halong Bay (Vietnam)
• Natural Park of Komodo (Indonesia)
• Table Mountain (South Africa)

The waterfalls are undoubtedly the most impressive in the world and are formed by 275 separate waterfalls flowing from the Iguassu River, an important tributary of the Paraná River. The falls are accessed from the town of Foz do Iguacu in Brazil or Puerto Iguazu in Argentina with regular flights. Eighty percent of the falls sit within Argentinean territory and this has arguably the best views however a visit to both sides is a must.

Bespoke Brazil, a new tour operator specializing in tailor-made holidays to Brazil, allows you to experience the best of Iguassu Falls.

Simon Williams, founder of Bespoke Brazil, says, "Iguassu Falls are incredible. From the first time I visited the falls 12 years ago, their appeal never fades. The Brazilian side of the falls offers the best panoramic view of Iguassu Falls and here is the place to watch the sunset however certainly from the Argentinean side you can get closer to the power of the falls. The best example of this being the spectacular Garganta do Diabo (the Devil's Throat), accessed via a kilometre long walk way. There are great accommodation options on either side of the falls to make for a highly comfortable visit to the area.”

“Visitors to Iguassu Falls should spend a day on either side of the falls to appreciate their magnitude whilst the area surrounding the falls is home to a number of exotic birds such as toucans thereby offering excellent wildlife opportunities. A visit to Iguassu Falls form an essential part of any holiday to Brazil."
