InterContinental Hong Kong Is Awarded Three Michelin Stars
2-stars for its celebrated Yan Toh Heen Cantonese restaurant and 1 star for the recently opened Rech by Alain Ducasse, which debuted in March.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Yan Toh Heen has received 2-Michelin stars. It is an exciting accolade for the hotel’s newest restaurant and the first international outpost of Paris’s most famous seafood restaurant, Rech by Alain Ducasse to receive 1-Michelin star, following less than one year in operation.

InterContinental Hong Kong’s restaurants, which also include NOBU InterContinental Hong Kong, THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill and the popular Harbourside, are acclaimed for their outstanding cuisine, exemplary service and panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island.

Yan Toh Heen

Yan Toh Heen Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai and the team are thrilled to receive 2-Michelin stars for the fourth consecutive year in the 2018 Michelin Guide to Hong Kong & Macau.

Yan Toh Heen is recognised as one of the world's finest Chinese restaurants specialising in fine Cantonese cuisine. Over the restaurant’s 33 year history, it has received numerous accolades, including being awarded 5-stars by the Forbes Travel Guide. This year, Yan Toh Heen received its 6th consecutive “Best of Award of Excellence” award from Wine Spectator.

Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai, who has been with the restaurant since it opened in 1984, and his team prepare exquisite Cantonese cuisine, using only the finest and freshest seasonal produce and refined Chinese cooking methods with a creative modern presentation.

The restaurant features an extensive a la carte menu, plus set lunch and dinner menus and special menus showcasing seasonal Cantonese specialties. At lunchtime, guests can enjoy an extensive selection of traditional and innovative dim sum. Yan Toh Heen’s Tea Sommelier Kelvin Ng has curated an exclusive Chinese tea menu and offers tea-pairing options as part of the Yan Toh Heen dining experience.

Open daily for lunch and dinner.

Rech by Alain Ducasse (pictured at top)

To receive 1-Michelin after just nine months of operation is a great achievement for Executive Chef Stéphane Gortina and the team at Rech by Alain Ducasse.

Those who love seafood will adore Rech by Alain Ducasse. One of the most famous seafood restaurants in Paris, Rech, founded in 1925 and reborn by Alain Ducasse in 2007, made its international debut in March 2017 at InterContinental Hong Kong (in the space that was formerly SPOON by Alain Ducasse). An authentically French seafood experience, it showcases the freshest oysters and fish from France with Chef Alain Ducasse’s personal interpretation and contemporary cuisine.

Rech by Alain Ducasse provides an unforgettable experience to enjoy the chef's exclusive know-how in preparing top quality fish and crustaceans in a modern and relaxed seaside-inspired ambiance with InterContinental Hong Kong's spectacular panoramic harbor views.

Executive Chef Stéphane Gortina, who has worked with Alain Ducasse for over 12 years at a diverse selection of his global restaurants, has led the kitchen since the restaurant opened. He was previously Executive Chef at SPOON by Alain Ducasse.

Marie Deroudilhe, who revamped the Parisian restaurant in 2012, designed the Hong Kong outpost with key design elements that are reminiscent of the sea -- the inside of a seashell, a piece of floating wood, drifting clouds, and the shimmering sunlight on the surface of the water and waves.

Open Tuesday – Sunday for dinner and on Sunday for lunch.
