Opening July 2011, InterContinental Porto Palacios das Cardosas will be the first InterContinental hotel to open in Portugal. A renovated palace with luxury accommodations, the property is situated in the historic district of Liberty Square. The charming medieval city – named after the sweet wine produced in the region – offers travelers a warm, classic-meets-contemporary atmosphere. The hotel will feature 105 guestrooms, including spacious Penthouse Suites with fantastic views of the city’s historic buildings and traditional architecture, as well as Café Astoria, restored to its original Belle Époque façade. Also opening in July 2011, the eagerly anticipated InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya will offer guests a personalized touch in a magnificent and diverse city, as well as unparalleled access to the city’s commercial, historic and cultural centers. Surrounding attractions include the legendary Bolshoi Theatre, the Old Moscow Circus and the Moscow Kremlin. The InterContinental Concierge program will include private tours of the Moscow Metro, an insider’s guide to the city’s culinary delights and historic architectural tours. Designed as a “grand boutique” hotel, the InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya will house 203 guestrooms, including one spacious Presidential Suite with state-of-the-art amenities and unmatched views of the cityscape. The hotel’s signature restaurant will blend classic and contemporary Russian cuisine, while the exclusive Club InterContinental will be the ideal venue to enjoy a cocktail and light refreshments served throughout the day.

Opening in 2012, InterContinental London Westminster offers travelers a luxurious respite in the middle of the iconic city. Complementing InterContinental’s landmark property InterContinental London Park Lane, the InterContinental London Westminster is located within walking distance from the British capital’s popular main attractions, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, and the beautiful St. James’s Park.
