Interview with the Concierge of Tiara Yaktsa Cannes

-

Tiara Yaktsa Cannes' Head Concierge, Madji Jallouz, shares his insider tips about the French Riviera.

Why should travelers visit your destination and your hotel right now? What is new and exciting?

Tiara Yaktsa Cannes has just been ranked by TripAdvisor as the #1 Romantic Hotel in Europe and #2 in the World! But, the French Riviera is timeless and Tiara Yaktsa doesn't need a special occasion to be visited…our guests spend time with us to get away, relax and soak in the Riviera lifestyle.

What unique experiences and special access can you provide to your guests outside the hotel to make their visit most memorable?

In addition to being beautiful, Cannes is an exciting shopping destination. We can provide guests with a personal shopper to visit all the best boutiques. Our guests love to go to Saint-Tropez or Monaco by boat or by car, so we can facilitate this. It's also great to visit the charming Provençal villages nearby, such as Mougins, Saint Paul de Vence, Valbonne, Biot, etc…and Grasse is one of our guest's favorite places to visit for the perfume factories. Maeght Fondation is one of the famous French private Art Foundations located in Saint Paul de Vence. There are also many interesting museums to visit -- the Asian Art Museum, Musée Matisse, Musée Chagall in Nice, Musée Picasso in Antibes, etc…

What are the most worthwhile sights and activities at your destination?

To rent a private boat to go to Monaco or spend the day in Saint-Tropez.

What are the top restaurants at your destination?

Tiara Yaktsa's restaurant: l'Or Bleu
Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel restaurant: l'Etoile des Mers
La Palme d'Or in Cannes
La Bastide Saint Antoine in Grasse
L'Oasis in La Napoule

Which unique shops and boutiques do you recommend?

Go to Cannes' "La Croisette" to shop the most prestigious fashion brands in the world.

Have new technologies affected how guests can interact with you?

Most of our guests send us their requests by email. This makes it very easy to reply.

What are some in-room surprises you can provide?

Anything and everything is possible, depending on the season and the guest!
