Jackson Hole's Shooting Star Course Named to Golfweek's Top 100 List
Shooting Star, which was designed by renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio, tied for the number 22 spot on Golfweek's annual ranking of the best modern golf courses in the United States. Each year, Golfweek sends 675 golf course raters to evaluate America's courses and develop a list of the best Modern and Classic courses. Modern courses are defined as those built from 1960 to present. Currently there are 10,652 courses in the U.S. which meet these criteria.

To determine the Top 100 List, Golfweek designates a point total for each course based on a number of factors including the variety and memorability of holes, and natural setting and overall land plan. Other courses in the TOP 100 Modern list include Sand Hills, Pacific Dunes, Muirfield Village, Shadow Creek and Whistling Straits.

Shooting Star opened in July 2009 and quickly earned a reputation as one of the most preeminent new golf courses in the country. In less than two years, the Club has attracted over 180 new members, making it the fastest growing golf club in North America. In October of 2010, Shooting Star was featured on the cover of Golfweek Magazine as one of the Best New Golf Courses in the country.
