Jerusalem's King David Hotel Hosts Clinton and Schwarzenegger
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger stayed at the legendary King David Hotel in Jerusalem last week, where they are pictured with Haim Shkedi, General Manager of the King David (center), and Sheldon Ritz, Director of Delegations and Groups (left).
Clinton and Schwarzenegger were both in Jerusalem as participants in the 6th Saban Forum peace conference. The U.S. dignitaries' stay follows visits by U.S. President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton earlier this year.
Dan Hotels Israel is the largest luxury hotel group in the country. The history of the chain dates back to June 1947, when two brothers Yekutiel and Shmuel Federmann, purchased a 21-room guest house called the "Kaete Dan" on the Tel Aviv sea shore. Today, the chain owns 13 deluxe hotels in prime locations around the country including the King David Hotel, an international convention center and a hotel training school.
