An Art Journey through India 29 January – 11 February 2014.

Accompanied by Dr Hugo K Weihe of Christie's New York, this unique journey starts in Delhi, at the astonishingly art-rich Imperial Hotel, in which there are no less than three main galleries and a collection of life-sized oil paintings of the princely rulers of India, including a cornucopia of work by the greatest 17th and 18th century Indian artists. The following day guests receive complimentary VIP tickets to the opening of the India Art Fair, where they will be introduced to artists and their works before dining with one of India's top art collectors.

Further highlights in Delhi include guided tours around the fair and the contemporary Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, atelier visits and a fascinating insight into the art history and architecture of India from Cambridge educated Dr Giles Tillotson whilst exploring the Lodhi gardens. The tour then heads to the Oberoi Amarvilas in Agra to visit the mesmerising Taj Mahal and the World Heritage site of the Agra Fort. Moving onto Rajasthan and the ‘Pink City' of Jaipur and Udaipur, there is dinner as an honoured guest in a Jaipur haveli, private viewings of ancient Indian art and jewels, cocktails in one of the most important forts in Rajasthan, feasting with a clutch of India's coolest artists and visits to museums, temples and galleries. The tour ends in Mumbai at the famed Taj Mahal Hotel, a fitting end to this unforgettable homage to India's vibrant cultural pulse.

For those who wish to extend their stay in India, options include tiger safaris, exploring the tropical beauty of Kerala or chilling out and enjoying the sensational cuisine in Goa.
