The hotel has been named JW Marriott Hotel of the Year in the East region for 2012 based on unprecedented results in staff excellence, product innovation and overall guest satisfaction. The second award honors Florencia Tabeni as General Manager of the Year for East region franchise hotels for her exemplary involvement in the hotel's development, opening and current stage.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Tabeni currently oversees the operations of the JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Hotel Beaux Arts Miami. Her outstanding leadership skills were duly noted as she was selected from a vast field of general managers.
