La Posada De Santa Fe's Executive Chef Named Chef of the Year
Chef Rodriguez accepted the award at the Hospitality Awards Dinner, which was held recently at Hotel Albuquerque in Albuquerque, NM.

"We are truly excited that Chef Carmen has been recognized as the leading chef in Santa Fe and the state by the New Mexico Restaurant Association. As his many good works reveal, he has a heartfelt passion for the city and over the years has been a positive influence and inspiration for local citizens and culinary professionals alike," said Ben Tutt, General Manager of La Posada de Santa Fe. "We couldn't be more pleased that he is now employing his talents to entice guests with innovative and locally-inspired dishes at La Posada."

A native Chicagoan, Chef Rodriguez brings 30 years of professional experience to his role as Executive Chef at La Posada de Santa Fe, where he interprets the "art of fine dining" by creating beautiful dishes replete with bold, Southwestern flavors for three distinct restaurants: the AAA Four Diamond-rated Fuego Restaurant, the historic Staab House, and the seasonal Patio Restaurant. In addition, Chef Rodriguez is a passionate community advocate, continuously finding ways to support the local community-he currently sits on the board of directors of The Food Depot of the Northern New Mexico Food Bank, acts as the culinary coordinator for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northern New Mexico, and mentors troubled youth to help earn their GEDs-and particularly for opening the door for future Hispanic chefs.
