Las Alcobas, Mexico City Debuts Exquisite Culinary Experience
The 90-seat, two-story restaurant offers fine Mexican cuisine, comprised of traditional dishes reinterpreted in a modern context. Amid the lively, urban atmosphere of the fashionable Polanco neighborhood, the sophisticated and evocative space integrates the colors and splendor of Mexico.

A star of the international chef circuit, Chef Ortiz, former Executive Chef of the highly-acclaimed Águila y Sol in Mexico City, translates history and tradition onto the plate. Paying homage to the rich, gastronomical heritage of Mexico, Chef Ortiz focuses on the artful and commemorative portrayal of cuisine, reflective of the restaurant's namesake – "Sweet Motherland" in Spanish.

The market-fresh, seasonal menu features Mexican favorites transformed into contemporary taste sensations. Dishes include fresh Quesadillas con Salsa Sultana, corn quesadillas with zucchini blossoms, Oaxaca cheese and roasted pine nuts; Vampire Cebiche, served with coconut and red prickly pear; Veracruz-Style Marimba Red Snapper; and a Mamey Custard, garnished with gold leaf and floral preserves for dessert.

Specialty cocktails include the Dulce Patria Margarita, mixed with pink prickly pear and golden sugar, and the Sweet Cilantro Elixir, among other libations. A range of fine Mexican wines, tequilas and mezcals have been individually selected to complement the bold flavors in Dulce Patria's signature dishes.

Setting the stage for Chef Ortiz's colorful and festive culinary creations, renowned Mexican architect and lighting consultant, Victor Zapatero chose amber, gold and orange LED lights to illuminate the contemporary dining room, featuring scarlet-hued floors, speckled with gold leaf, and red and black furniture adorned with the symbol of a golden eagle—a national Mexican icon. Forming a stunning visual centerpiece of the restaurant, a dramatic spiral staircase leads to a bar and private dining room on the second floor. Upstairs, glass doors give way to a serene outdoor terrace lined with local flora, offering a sublime vantage point for observing the bustling street life below.

Located at ANATOLE FRANCE 100 in Mexico City's Polanco neighborhood, Dulce Patria is open Monday through Sunday for lunch; and Monday through Saturday for dinner. For reservations and/or more information, please call +52(55) 3300 3999 or visit www.lasalcobas.com
